CRM Agent

“Update the contact if it exists, otherwise create it. Assign new leads round robin.”

  • Find contact
  • Update contact
  • Assign owner

Your CRM

  • HubSpot
  • Salesforce
  • Attio
Each time its workflow runs, the agent reads your CRM, then writes what your instructions allow.

Add a CRM Agent step to any workflow and write what it should do. It checks your CRM first, then creates, updates and assigns records the way you asked.

Instructions, Not Field Mappings

A field mapping copies values into fixed fields. The agent decides: create or update, which fields to touch, and who owns the record.

No built-in rule settles a conflict. If your instructions are silent, the model decides, so write the rule down and check it in the test run.

Which Way the Data Moves

The agent reads your CRM and writes to it. It does not write CRM data back into Surface.

  • It reads existing contacts, companies, deals and owners, so it can update a record rather than create a duplicate.
  • It writes the records and fields your instructions allow.
  • It leaves the Surface lead unchanged. Values in the CRM are not copied onto the lead record.

This is deliberately not a two-way sync. Surface is where leads are captured and scored. Your CRM stays the system of record for the deal.
